Gas prices drop 2 cents to an average $3.58 per gallon in Rhode Island

The price of gasoline in Rhode Island has fallen slightly this week, to an average of $3.58 per gallon for regular.

In its weekly survey released Tuesday, AAA Southern New England says the price dropped 2 cents a gallon in the Ocean State.

It is now 18 cents lower than a year ago at this time, when gas was $3.76 per gallon.

Prices in Rhode Island are still 11 cents more than the national average of $3.47 per gallon.
