FTC Says Reynolds To Sell Four Brands To Imperial To Get Lorillard Merger Approved

WASHINGTON – The Federal Trade Commission said it's forcing Reynolds American and Lorillard to sell four cigarette brands as a condition for approving the $27.4 billion merger. The FTC says Reynolds will have to sell Winston, Kool, Salem, and Maverick to Imperial Tobacco . In addition, Reynolds will have to divest to Imperial the Lorillard manufacturing facilities in Greensboro, N.C. I The FTC voted 3-2 in favor of the order.
