Ford U.S. Sales Fall 2% In November

Ford Motor Company said U.S. sales fell 2% in November to 187,000 vehicles. The decline was expected, Ford said, as it adjusts inventories ahead of the availability of the new Ford Mustang, F-150 and Transit models. Sales of the company's Taurus model fell 23%, while C-Max sales slid 22.8% and Fiesta sales fell 10.7%. Ford Escape had its best November ever with sales climbing 22% to 25,528 vehicles, while Ford Explorer sales rose 13% to 14,949 vehicles for their best November since 2004. Shares were down 0.5% in early trade, and are up 1.6% in the year so far, while the S&P 500 has gained 11%.
