Ford Shares Go in Reverse, and Other #Stocks2Watch

1. Ford [F]


Ford shares hit a rough patch after the automaker said it expects North American profits in 2014 to come in below 2013 levels. The company also said its North American profit margins will likely come in between 9.5% to 10%, from an earlier view of 10%.

2. Apple [AAPL]


Apple skidded amid uncertainty over whether the tech giant has indeed secured a deal with Chinese telecom heavyweight China Mobile. Reuters reports China Mobile chair Xi Guohua said he doesn't have an announcement to make on any deal with the iPhone-maker.

3. Jabil Circuit [JBL]


Jabil Circuit plunged after revealing much weaker-than-expected quarterly results after the bell Tuesday. The company that assembles electronics also said it's selling its warranty repair business.

4. FedEx [FDX]


FedEx hit mild turbulence after the global shipping giant posted quarterly profits that missed analysts' expectations. Recently, the shares traded down by 0.6% in pre-market action.

5. Rio Tinto [RIO]


@EnigmaCEO says he's keeping an eye on shares of Rio Tinto, recently up 0.7% in pre-market trading, on the back of news Tuesday a subsidiary of the mining giant received an extended commitment from banks to fund operations at a gold mine in Mongolia.
