Ford Set to Recall 1.2 Million Pickup Trucks
Ford (NYSE:F) is recalling 1.2 million F-150 pickup trucks due to issues with airbags, adding to an earlier recall of 150,000 trucks, which are its best selling vehicles in the U.S.
The recall will impact models from the years 2004 through 2006.
The Detroit-based manufacturer recalled the same trucks in late February to fix airbags that it said could deploy without warning. Those trucks were made from 2005 through 2006 in the U.S. and Canada.
The government had urged Ford to recall a total of 1.3 million from the 2004 to 2006 model years, citing 98 injuries from airbags deploying unintentionally.
