First Shake Shack To Open In Tokyo In 2016

Shake Shack Inc. said Tuesday it is partnering with Sazaby League Ltd. to bring its burgers to Tokyo, with the first outlet in the Japanese capital expected to open in 2016. Sazaby League is the company that brought Starbucks to Japan, the burger chain said in a statement. Shake Shack and Sazaby League are planning to open 10 Shacks in Japan through 2020. Shake Shack shares were not yet active in premarket trade, but closed Friday at $40.99, or 95% above their initial public offering price set on Jan. 29.
