FireEye shares surged 20% after the computer security company said it would buy closely-held rival Mandiant in a $1 billion deal.
2. Boeing [BA]
FOX Business Reporter / News Editor Victoria Craig says she's watching shares of Boeing, as roughly 31,000 machinist prepare to vote on a labor contract that will determine, among other things, where the 777X aircraft is manufactured.
3. Apple [AAPL]
Apple shares are set to be in focus again after Brian White, an analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald, said the tech behemoth is the firm's top large-cap stock pick of the year.
4. Micron Technology [MU]
Micron Technology shares skid in the pre-market after analysts at Bank of America Merrill Lynch reportedly cut the chipmaker to "underperform" from "neutral."
5. Ford, General Motors, Fiat [F | GM | FIATY]
The Big Three U.S. automakers -- Ford, General Motors and Fiat-owned Chrysler -- report their December sales figures out the day. Note: Fiat primarily trades in Milan, but an ADR is available under the symbol FIATY.
