Finish Line names Samuel Sato president and adds him to board

The Finish Line Inc. said Tuesday that it has named executive Samuel Sato as president of the company and elected him to its board.

Sato joined Finish Line in 2007 and has served in several roles, most recently as president of the Finish Line brand.

The retailer, based in Indianapolis, sells athletic shoes, clothing and accessories at its namesake shops, specialty running stores and other retailers nationwide.

Finish Line shares climbed 66 cents to $25.30 by midday, outpacing broader market gains.
