Final U.S. Markit PMI In June Falls To Lowest Level Since 2013
The second and final Markit reading of U.S. manufacturing conditions in June was revised up to 53.6 from a preliminary 53.4, but the index was still at its lowest level since October 2013. The manufacturing index fell from 54.0 in May, the privately run firm Markit said Wednesday. Readings over 50 indicate growth, but manufacturers have been hurt by a stronger dollar that's hurt exports, among other things.
