Fed Fischer: U.S. Can Grow Despite Global Malaise

The U.S. economy can grow at a "reasonable rate" even if the rest of the world is relatively slow, said Federal Reserve Vice Chair Stanley Fischer on Thursday. Fischer said it would of course be helpful if the rest of the world was growing rapidly, but added that the U.S. could be the single engine of the global economy.
