Family of 'Duck Dynasty' brings rags-to-riches song and dance story to a Las Vegas stage
There will be beards. And there will be no do-si-doing around any of the controversy involving the family on cable's highest-rated show, "Duck Dynasty."
The Robertson family's rags-to-riches story has been made into a musical that will be performed in a small Las Vegas theater starting April 15. The good, the bad and the in-between are all said to be part of the 90-minute show.
The Duck Commander Musical to be staged at the Rio hotel and casino features actors playing the A&E reality-show family that manufactures duck calls and loves to go bird hunting
It's based on the 2012 book by family member Willie Robertson and his wife, Korie, titled "The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty."
Tickets are expected to cost $49 to $125.
Producers include music executive Tommy Mottola and "Jersey Boys" producer Michael David.
