Energy And Financials Set To Lead Dow's Tumble At Open
Goldman Sachs, Chevron Corp., J.P. Morgan Chase and Exxon were among the components set to lead the Dow Jones Industrial Average lower Tuesday in what's setting up as a sharp fall at the opening bell. Chevron is off 2.7% and J.P. Morgan was nearly 3% lower in pre-market trade. Meanwhile, Visa Inc. was down 2.5% and Goldman's shares were 2.8% lower in premarket. Stock-index futures for the Dow are down nearly 400 points and point to turbulent start to September trading for stocks. Futures for the S&P 500 were down 49 points and those for the Nasdaq were off 111 points.
