ECB policy exit distant, OMT ready if needed, says Draghi

An exit from the European Central Bank's exceptional monetary policy measures remains distant and its OMT bond-purchase plan is ready to be activated at any time if needed, ECB President Mario Draghi said on Wednesday.

Describing ECB monetary policy as "accommodative", Draghi told committees in the French lower house of parliament it would remain so for the foreseeable future: "Our exit remains distant."
