ECB Bought 9.75 Bln Euros Of Public Debt In First Week Of QE
The European Central Bank on Monday said it settled purchases of 9.751 billion euros ($10.3 billion) of public-sector debt in the first week of its money-creating quantitative-easing program.The ECB also continues to buy covered bonds and asset-backed securities. As of March 13, the ECB had settled cumulative purchases totaling 56.95 billion euros of covered bonds and 3.75 billion euros of asset-backed securities, according to the central bank's Twitter account.
