Ebola Suspected In Durham, N.C., Patient: Reports

A recent visitor to Liberia is under observation at Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C., for possible infection with the deadly Ebola virus, reports from the region said late Sunday. North Carolina's Department of Health and Human Services said the person in question had arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on Saturday from the West African nation and later took a bus to Durham before developing a fever, according to reports from various local TV news websites. The patient didn't have any symptoms when he or she arrived in the U.S. and voluntarily contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention once the fever surfaced, WNCN quoted a state health official as saying.
