Dunkin' Brands Beats On Profit And Backs Full-year Guidance
Dunkin Brands Group Inc. on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings ahead of forecasts and backed its full-year guidance. Profit for the period rose to $52.7 million, or 57 cents a share, compared with $46.2 million, or 48 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. On an adjusted basis, the donut company said earnings rose 15% to 60 cents a share. Revenue, however, slipped 1.3% to $207.1 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected adjusted earnings of 58 cents a share on revenue of $214.7 million. For fiscal 2016, Dunkin said it continues to see adjusted per-share earnings between $2.20 and and $2.22.
