Dow Stocks Tumble As Tech Leads Losers, But Healthcare Gains
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures are plunging, but the feeling isn't unanimously bearish about Donald Trump being elected president. Of the 29 Dow stocks that are trading premarket, 24 are selling off, with 21 down at least 1%. The most-active decliner is Apple Inc.'s stock, , which is shedding 2.3% on volume of about 319,000 shares. Most of the other biggest losers are in the technology space, with shares of Intel Corp. down 3.3%, Cisco Systems Inc. shedding 3.2% and Verizon Communications Inc. sliding 3.1%. The winners are mostly healthcare stocks, with shares of Pfizer Inc. surging 5%, Merck & Co. Inc. rallying 2.5% and Johnson & Johnson gaining 2.3%. Caterpillar Inc.'s stock is also up 1%.
