Dow Scores Record Close; S&P 500 Breaks 3-day Win Streak

U.S. stocks ended Tuesday's choppy session mostly lower, though Dow industrials eked out a gain to close at a fresh record. The S&P 500 closed off 1.38 points, or 0.1% at 2,127.82, breaking its three-day record-scoring streak. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 13.51 points, or 0.1% to 18,312.39. The Nasdaq Composite ended the session down 8.41 points, or 0.2%, at 5,070.03.
