Dow Members Reporting Results Shaving Off 144 Points From Dow

The shares of all seven Dow Jones Industrial Average components that reported results since Monday's close were selling off in premarket trade Tuesday, as the companies' either reported results that missed expectations in some way or provided downbeat outlooks. At current prices, the declines would shave off a total of about 144 points from the Dow, which is a price-weighted index. Dow futures were recently down 278 points. The approximate impact of each stocks' decline on the Dow: Microsoft : -25.88 points; United Technologies : 24.50 points; Caterpillar : 45.27 points; 3M : 17.60 points; Pfizer : 1.93 points; Procter & Gamble : 15.22 points; DuPont : 13.55 points.
