Dow Jumps Over 200 Points At Market Open

U.S. stocks opened higher on Thursday, building on the previous session's rally with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising more than 200 points at the open. A rally in global equity markets followed a rebound in Chinese stocks. An upward revision to U.S. gross domestic product data also added to already optimistic mood. The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 200 points, or 1.2%, to 16,480, with all 30 members of the blue-chip index trading higher. The S&P 500 opened 24 points, or 1.3% higher at 1,964. The Nasdaq Composite began the day up 65 points, or 1.4% at 4,760.
