Delta plane searched at JFK airport following telephoned bomb threat; no injuries, no arrests
Authorities say a passenger jet is being searched at John F. Kennedy Airport following a bomb threat.
Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo says Delta Air Lines flight 468 from San Francisco to New York landed at JFK Airport just after 7:40 p.m. Monday.
Pentangelo says the plane was taken to a remote part of the runway where the plane was being swept for explosives. He says passengers were taken by bus to the main terminal where they'll be interviewed.
Pentangelo says the telephone threat was made while the plane was still in the air. He did not know who received the threat. He says there have been no injuries or arrests.
A telephone message left with Delta was not immediately returned.
