D.R. Horton profit rises on tax benefit

NEW YORK (Reuters) - D.R. Horton Inc's <DHI.N> quarterly profit rose, helped by a tax benefit.

The biggest U.S. homebuilder by closings in 2010, Horton posted on Friday earnings for the second fiscal quarter ended March 31 of $27.8 million, or 9 cents per share, compared with a profit of $11.4 million, or 4 cents per share, last year.
