Cyprus Popular Bank's board submits resignation

Cyprus Popular Bank said in an Athens bourse filing on Thursday that its 11-member board resigned.

Cyprus's banks will open later on Thursday and operate under capital controls imposed to prevent depositors from emptying the vaults after the island agreed a tough rescue deal with international lenders.
