CSX Shares Rise As Earnings Top Street Consensus Estimate

CSX Corp. shares ticked higher in the extended session Tuesday after the railroad operator topped Wall Street earnings estimates. CSX shares rose 2.5% to $28.40. The company reported third-quarter earnings of 52 cents a share on revenue of $2.94 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated earnings of 50 cents a share on revenue of $2.97 billion.
