Cooper Cos. Shares Fall On Earnings, Cut Outlook
Cooper Cos. shares fell in the extended session Thursday after the vision-care medical device maker missed the Wall Street consensus for quarterly earnings and cut its outlook. Cooper shares fell 4% to $162.10 on moderate volume. The company reported adjusted fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $1.95 a share on revenue of $468 million. Analysts surveyed by factSet expected $2.03 a share on $481.7 million. Cooper also lowered its outlook for 2015. It now forecasts adjusted earnings of $7.30 to $7.70 a share on revenue of $1.9 billion to $1.96 billion. Analysts estimated $8.19 a share on revenue of $2 billion.
