Consumer Confidence Dips Unexpectedly In November To Reading Of 88.7

The Conference Board said Tuesday that consumer confidence in November fell to a reading of 88.7, down from a revised 94.1 in October. The drop was a surprise. Economists polled by MarketWatch were expecting a 96.6 reading, up from the initial October reading of 94.5. Consumers were less optimistic about both current and upcoming conditions in November.
