Computer Sciences Agrees To Buy UXC For $308 Million

Computer Sciences Corp. said late Tuesday it agreed to buy Australian IT services company UXC Ltd. for $307.9 million. CSC shares rose 3.5% to $71.99 after hours. Under the agreement, CSC will buy UXC for $1.22 Australian a share, with UXC paying a "franked" dividend of 2 cents Australian a share for the half year ended Dec. 31. CSC expects the deal to close in February.
