College Board offers students free do-over for SAT exam that gave some more time on section
Students who took a flawed SAT can get a free do-over.
The College Board says it will waive the $54.50 fee for any student who took the June 6 exam, which contained a printing error that gave some students five more minutes on one section of the test.
A College Board spokesman tells NJ.com (http://bit.ly/1TqHVH9 ) that the organization that oversees the exam is confident in the reliability of the scores. The College Board says it doesn't want to cause undue anxiety by making students think they have to take the test again.
The test incorrectly said students had 25 minutes to complete one section, while directions read out loud correctly told students they had 20 minutes.
Those who want to take the test again can do so in October.
