Coca-Cola North America Announces Executive Changes That Reorganize U.S. Operations
Coca-Cola Co.North America said in an email sent to MarketWatch that it promoted Hendrik Steckhan to president of U.S. operations. Steckhan was previously president of still beverages and, between 2010 and 2014, ran Coca-Cola's German business. The promotion is part of Coca-Cola North America's reorganization around four lines of business: U.S. bottler-delivered beverages, U.S. foodservice & on-premise, The Minute Maid Company and Coca-Cola Ltd. Canada. "Effective January 1, 2016, we are re-instituting USA Operations to lead all business activities related to bottler-delivered beverages in the U.S," Sandy Douglas, president of Coca-Cola North America, wrote in the email. Stuart Kronauge has been named head of brand marketing, in charge of the Coca-Cola trademark, Sprite and Flavors, Glaceau, water, tea and coffee. He was previously senior vice president of customer marketing. Ivan Pollard will lead strategic marketing. He's now the senior vice president of connections, investments and assets. Coca-Cola shares are up 1.7% for the year so far. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 1.5% for the same period.
