Jeff Masters, chief meteorologist for Weather Underground, says the storm should bring rain to many coastal cities, but up to a foot of snow is expected to fall inland and at higher elevations.

Masters says the highest amount of snow is expected to fall from northeastern Pennsylvania to the Catskills of upstate New York and into Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

Air travelers could experience some delays. AAA spokesman Robert Sinclair is urging patience on the roads.

Masters says meteorologists are keeping a close eye on the rain/snow line.
