China Official Denies Reported Plans For QE Program: Reuters

Despite reports to contrary, China's central bank is not planning to buy up local-government bonds, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing comments to local media by People's Bank of China chief economist Ma Jun. Ma was quoted by Yicai.com as saying the PBOC had enough policy tools without instituting the new measures previously reported by Reuters, The Wall Street Journal and others, the report said.
