Chevron Restarts Gulf Platform After Shutdown
Chevron (CVX) announced on Tuesday that its Eugene Island platform in the Gulf of Mexico has been restarted following a one-hour shutdown Monday.
The company said the shutdown will have a minimal impact on production and denied that a fire had anything to do with the brief closure.
The filing by the National Response Center said the closure came after an “upset” on Monday, which resulted in less than a gallon of oil being spilled.
