British financier Scot Young falls to death after long divorce battle involving millions
London police say the death by falling of a financier who had been embroiled in a lengthy divorce row is not being treated as suspicious.
Property investor and financier Scot Young had been involved in a multimillion dollar divorce battle with ex-wife Michelle that had lasted for years.
She claimed he was hiding billions of dollars in assets.
Police have asked that his family be left alone after his body was found impaled on railings outside his fourth floor luxury apartment in central London.
The 52-year-old's girlfriend Noelle Reno said in a statement she was "distraught by the sudden loss of my best friend."
Officials said Thursday that a coroners' inquest into the cause of death is planned. No date has been set.
