Boeing Scores $4.9 Billion Order From Garuda Indonesia
Boeing Co. said Sunday it had received a 50-jet order worth $4.9 billion from airline PT Garuda Indonesia , according to reports. The purchases were for 737 Max 8 aircraft, four of which were conversions of previously ordered 737s not of the fuel-efficient Max model, the Associated Press reported. The Max planes are currently under development and are due to enter service in 2017, Dow Jones Newswires said.
