BlackBerry To Buy Mobile Security Company WatchDox For Undisclosed Sum

BlackBerry Ltd. said Tuesday it has agreed to buy mobile security company WatchDox Ltd. for an undisclosed sum. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based WatchDox offers secure enterprise file-sync-and-share technology. BlackBerry shares were up 0.8% in premarket trade, but are down about 9% in the year so far, while the S&P 500 has gained about 2%.
