1. BlackBerry [BBRY]

BlackBerry shares gyrated in a wide range Friday as traders mulled the fate of the embattled smartphone maker. The company posted a much wider-than-expected quarterly loss, but also revealed a pact with Taiwanese manufacturing giant Foxconn.

2. Jones Group [JNY]

Jones Group shares rallied after the apparel maker revealed a $1.2 billion buyout by Sycamore Partners. The company owns brands like Jones New York and Nine West.

3. Walgreen [WAG]

Walgreen revealed quarterly profits that matched expectations, and sales that were just a tad beneath Wall Street's view. But the pharmacy chain's gross profit margin suffered, spooking analysts and sending its shares lower.

4. RedHat [RHT]

RedHat shares surged after the maker of a popular version of the Linux operating system saw its quarterly profits spike 50%.

5. MGM Resorts International [MGM]

@PhilBeshara says he's watching shares of MGM Resorts International because "it's doubled in value this year and likely to continue its tick upward." The stock is little changed in early trade, and is up 94% for the year as of Thursday's close.
