Black Diamond Shares Jump On 'strategic Alternatives'
SAN FRANCISCO – Black Diamond Inc. shares rallied after the outdoor sports equipment and apparel company said it was exploring strategic options for all of its brands. Shares of Black Diamond rose 9.1% to $7.69 on moderate volume. The company said it hired advisory firms Rothschild Inc. and Robert W. Baird to explore a "full range" of alternatives for its Black Diamond, Pieps, and POC Sports brands. The company reported adjusted fourth-quarter earnings of 9 cents a share on revenue of $59.4 million. Analysts estimated 11 cents a share on revenue of $61.6 million.
