Black Diamond Shares Jump On 'strategic Alternatives'
Black Diamond Inc. shares rallied after the outdoor sports equipment and apparel company said it was exploring strategic options for all of its brands. Shares of Black Diamond rose 9.1% to $7.69 on moderate volume. The company said it hired advisory firms Rothschild Inc. and Robert W. Baird to explore a "full range" of alternatives for its Black Diamond, Pieps, and POC Sports brands. The company reported adjusted fourth-quarter earnings of 9 cents a share on revenue of $59.4 million. Analysts estimated 11 cents a share on revenue of $61.6 million.
