Shares of some top big-box retail companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Costco Wholesale Corp. fell $.89 or .8 percent, to $115.38.

Target fell $.35 or .6 percent, to $57.71.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. fell $.87 or 1.2 percent, to $74.75.
