Berkshire Hathaway Tops Third-quarter Estimates

Berkshire Hathaway topped analyst estimates with third-quarter adjusted earnings of $2,876 a share vs. $2,228 a share in the year-earlier period. Warren Buffett's insurance conglomerate had been expected to make $2,560.29 a share for the quarter. Revenue rose to $51.199 billion from $46.541 billion a year ago, just shy of analyst estimates of $51.329 billion.
