Autodesk Shares Fall After Narrower Quarterly Profit

Autodesk Inc. on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of 8 cents a share, compared with 12 cents a share a year earlier. Adjusted for one-time items, the company reported earnings of 30 cents a share, down from 32 cents a share a year ago. The software company reported revenues of $647 million on the quarter. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected the company to report earnings of 28 cents a share on revenue of $637 million. Shares of Autodesk fell 4.5% in after-hours trading after ending the regular session down 1.5%.
