AT&T To Acquire Mexico Wireless Provider Iusacell For $2.5 Billion
AT&T said Friday it is buying Mexico wireless provider Iusacell from Grupo Salinas for $2.5 billion including debt. The deal will create a North American network covering 400 million consumers and businesses, the telecom giant said in a statement. The deal will be completed once Groupo Salinas completes its previously announced plans to acquire the remaining 50% of Iusacell it doesn't already own, according to the statement.
