AT&T Shares Tick Higher After Earnings Beat
AT&T Inc. shares ticked higher in the extended session Tuesday after the telecom giant topped Wall Street estimates for the first quarter. AT&T shares advanced 1.1% to $38.50 after hours. The company reported adjusted first-quarter earnings of 72 cents a share on revenue of $40.5 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast earnings of 69 cents a share on revenue of $40.46 billion. AT&T said it added net 2.3 million wireless subscribers during the quarter.
