AT&T Second-quarter Earnings Top Street View

AT&T Inc. late Thursday reported second-quarter earnings that topped Wall Street estimates while revenue fell just short of the consensus view. AT&T shares fluctuated between slight gains and losses and were last up 0.8% at $34.20 on heavy volume. The telecom reported adjusted second-quarter earnings of 69 cents a share on revenue of $33.02 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated 63 cents a share on revenue of $33.07 billion. AT&T reported unadjusted second-quarter earnings of 58 cents a share, down from 68 cents a share in the year-ago quarter.
