Are U.S. Markets Closed For Columbus Day?

U.S. stock markets are open for trade on Monday, but bond markets are closed for the Columbus Day holiday. Trading in energy and metals futures is also business as usual. The next holiday for U.S. stock markets is Thanksgiving on Nov. 27. On Monday, however, Canadian stocks were closed for trade in observance of the local Thanksgiving Day.
