Apple Among Gainers As Tech Stocks Rise

SAN FRANCISCO – Many leading tech stocks started the week on an upbeat note Monday, and added to the sector's gains from the prior week. Apple was among the advancers, rising 80 cents a share a new high of $108.80. Other gains came form Groupon Inc. , Alibaba Group and Microsoft Corp. . The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index rose 6 points to 4,636 and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index was also in positive territory.
