API Reports Crude Supplies Up 1.9 Million Barrels

The American Petroleum Institute on Tuesday reported U.S. crude-oil rose by 1.9 million barrels, according to reports. The trade group's report comes a day before the more closely watched data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Analysts polled by Platts expect the EIA to report a decline in crude stockpiles by 2.5 million barrels. Crude futures capped a choppy session Tuesday with a two-cent increase.
