API Data Reportedly Show U.S. Crude Supply Up 1.9 Million Barrels
The American Petroleum Institute late Tuesday reported that crude supplies rose by 1.9 million barrels for the week ended June 26, according to sources. Analysts surveyed by Platts forecast a 1.3 million-barrel decline. August crude was at $58.98 a barrel in electronic trading, down from the $59.47 close on Nymex. The more closely watched Energy Information Administration report is due Wednesday.
