Amazon Offering Restaurant Delivery Service In D.C.

Amazon.com Inc. said Tuesday that it has launched restaurant delivery service in Washington D.C. for Prime members. Customers in the greater D.C. area, including Northern Virginia, Georgetown and other neighborhoods, can have orders from 150 restaurants delivered. Food is delivered in one hour or less. Amazon shares are up 0.3% in premarket trading, and up nearly 53% for the past year. The S&P 500 index is up 21.7% for the last 12 months.
