Amazon.com Prime Video streaming is often compared to Netflix's service, and rightly so, but with its new Streaming Partners Program, Amazon is starting to take on more traditional cable and satellite providers.

Amazon's tens of millions of Prime members now have easy access to sign up for over-the-top subscription services like Showtime and Starz, at a discount, and an easy way to cancel those subscriptions. This move offers yet another choice to consumers considering moving away from traditional cable and satellite providers for their television content.
