Air Products Confirms Suspected Terror Attack At Its French Gas Plant
Air Products and Chemicals Inc. confirmed on Friday that the suspected terror attack in France occurred at its gas plant in L'Isle-d'Abeau in the south-east part of the country. The company said in a statement that all employees have been evacuated from the site and that they are all accounted for. "Emergency services are on site and have contained the situation. The site is secure. Our crisis and emergency response teams have been activated and are working closely with all relevant authorities," it said. An explosion happened at the Air Products building around 10 a.m. local time, or 4 a.m. Eastern Time, according to media reports. A man was decapitated in the attack and the head found several feet from the body, attached to a fence. French authorities said in a post to Twitter that a suspect has been caught and identified.
